Meeting between the Emperor and Gustav of Sweden, and Haakon of Norway.
Emperor George: Your majesties, it is a pleasure to welcome you to the Imperial Palace.
Gustav: Greetings Emperor George, this palace is amazing.
Haakon: That it is.
George: Thank you, are we all ready to get to business?
Gustav: What business would that be? I received your invitation but your Deputy Minister for Foreign Relations said that if I came, all would be understood, so her I am.
George: Our buissness pertains to your countries.
Haakon: What about them?
George: The Empire would like to offer your nations a place as a member of the Imperial Commenwealth.
Haakon: Why would we agree to this?
George: Well first off, you would have all the benefits of ruling without being hindered by a parliament, and secondly it will benefit your nation in terms of commerce, protection, infrastructure, and technology.
Gustav: I see, this is very sudden.
George: I completely understand but here is what I am offering you; You both shall retain a semi-autonomous control over your nations and retain your crowns but shall submit to the Emperor. You shall both be inchrage of matters such as religious matters, regular roads and infrastructure, ceremonial duties, and making sure the Emperors wishes are carried out. The Empire shall control the export of goods, Defence and military, important infrastructure, and foreign affairs. All former Military forces of your nations military shall be incorporated into the imperial military and be used for the defense of your Commenwealth nations. Most of the old laws still apply there but all Imperial laws also apply there. If any of your laws and Imperial Laws contradict each other, the Imperial Law is the one that shall be followed. A governor shall be appointed by the emperor to be the Imperial Governor to oversee all Imperial Matters in the province and report to the emperor the state of the province and its needs. The governor gets appointed for a 5 year term which may be extend or cut short at the emperors pleasure. Each governor reports directly to the emperor or his appointed person. What do you both think?
Gustav: It's very generous, but I would like to be assured that my nation shall be protect by yourself or one of your allies by some forces at all times.
George: If that's what you would like, then it is agreed. Haakon?
Haakon: I am not a big fan of this idea of yours, but I do not see any other way it would be possible to protect my nation due to the threat of the Soviet menace to the east.
George: Then we are your best hope. Both of you join us, and you shall be protect by us and/or our allies at all times.
Haakon: I accept.
Gustav: As do I.
George: Welcome to the Empire. Imperial Forces shall be arriving in your nations in a matter of days.
